Emergency &
out-of-hours.
Tight programme, weekend permit window, evening-only access, broken-line emergency? Tell us when you need it and we'll work to it. Quotes turned around fast so you can plan with certainty — same crew, same kit, scaled to the slot.

What rapid & out-of-hours work covers
Rapid response covers the jobs where the slot is the problem, not the slab. Tight programme cores that have to happen this week. Weekend permit windows on highways, retail and infrastructure where the only chance to cut is between Friday night and Monday morning. Night shifts in trading floors, hospitality and transport interchanges where the work has to be done and gone before opening. Broken-line emergencies — a missed sleeve, a leaking riser, an anchor pull that failed sign-off — where someone needs to be on site fast and competent.
The work is the same diamond drilling, core drilling and concrete cutting that we do day-to-day. What changes is the planning around it: RAMS turned around in hours rather than days, kit pre-staged, crew on call, and a clear, honest answer up front about whether we can hit the deadline.
Typical use cases
- Weekend permit work — highways, retail, occupied buildings where the cut has to fit a Friday-night-to-Monday-morning window.
- Night shifts — trading floors, hospitality, transport interchanges, working through 2200 – 0500 and out before opening.
- Tight programme RFIs — late-stage design clashes, missed cores, last-minute revisions before pour or fit-out.
- Emergency cores — broken-line drainage, leaking riser sleeve, failed anchor pulls, post-incident remedial work.
- Live retail and hospitality — overnight cores so the unit can trade in the morning.
- Live hospitals and care — out-of-hours penetration work where dust, noise and disruption have to be managed around clinical operations.
Who it helps
Main contractors with a programme that has shifted under them. Site managers facing a Monday-morning sign-off and a Friday-evening surprise. M&E contractors who missed a sleeve in the slab pour. Facilities managers in occupied buildings — retail, healthcare, transport, education — who can't take the building offline during opening hours. Insurance claims and emergency response work after leaks, impacts or failed fixings.
What to send for a fast quote

- Method needed: core, saw, stitch, opening — and rough size.
- Substrate, slab thickness, reinforcement notes if known.
- Photos and drawings — even a phone snap.
- Whether the building is occupied / trading / live overhead or below.
- Contact name and phone (we may need a quick call to lock the slot).

Safety, dust and clean-work notes
Out-of-hours work is usually inside occupied or live buildings, which means dust, noise, water and slurry control are the headline risks. Wet drilling is the default with slurry contained at source and removed before handover; dry with M-class HEPA where wet is not an option. Scanning is done before the rig is set on any slab where reinforcement, services or PT cables matter — we don't speed-run the safety steps because the slot is tight. RAMS and any permits issued before mobilising, even on short-notice work.
